I have been seeing Dr.McMurdo with my kids and myself for years. I have never had any problems with the staff being rude. Dr. McMurdo is great. She is patient and gives real advice. They always advise me if they will be closed (for vacation or anything else, its a small business, they deserve time off too!) and help to make sure I get what I need prior to that.

The doctor is great, her staff awful. Kevin attempted to have my son pick a contact up off the floor and put it in his eye. My son has went to this office since he was five and will never be a patient here again. Rude and disrespectful. I hope Kevin has his Momma pick up a contact off a dirty floor and stick it in his and her eye. This was my son’s first time trying contacts and Kevin tried to give him an infection. Crappy staff

I called today 11/19/2025 to make an appointment for my son. My very first question was asking if they accept my son’s insurance, To which the lady responded bluntly “no.” I said “bummer, OK, thank you. Do you happen to know of any local offices that do accept my son’s insurance?” This time she responded “ Nope, you can call them and they can tell you.” I said “OK thank you Have a good day.” She literally did not say another word and hung up on me. Absolutely completely rude and unprofessional- JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE’s REVIEWS! Based on this experience, I wouldn’t want to bring my family here and you shouldn’t either.

So far both visits have been amazing! The doctor and staff are incredible! Thank you for being my optometrist office. Everyone is kind and professional. Will definitely recommend! Quick update, make sure you get ALL of your paperwork. If not, they charge you for their mistake.

I woke up with my eye messed up so I called first thing on a Friday morning, office hours are 9am and close at 6pm. A guy answers the phone (which tells me they are open, right? NO!!!) and says there is only one eye doctor that works there and they arent there in the office today. I am clearly in the wrong so please help me understand what I am doing wrong, so I can better correct my ways.
