McLaren Northern Michigan Urgent Care

Receptionist was very nice, checked me in quickly. Medical Assistant was quick to get me situated in the room and take my vitals, asking questions. The Nurse Practitioner was absolutely fabulous. Went over all my health issues, asked questions and then asked me if I had any questions and actually listened and responded to all my issues. It was a wonderful first visit!!

I had one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever encountered at an urgent care. I came in for an injury, and from the beginning the front desk staff was visibly irritated, sighing, rolling her eyes, and speaking to me in a dismissive tone. She made it verbally clear that she was annoyed with the time I arrived. After completing multiple forms, I waited in the lobby and could clearly hear the front desk staff complaining about me to another employee, including comments about the time I arrived. They openly discussed me within earshot, and I heard one of them say, “Just send her to the ER,” before anyone had even looked at my injury. A staff member then came out and told me I needed to go to the ER for “tests,” despite never actually examining the injury themselves. At no point did

We came in with a sick kid after being seen at another urgent care 5 days prior and she was getting worse. So thankful for Lance and the staff there. They were patient, took their time, and were able to find what the urgent care across the street missed! Will not be going anywhere else with our family!

What a waste of time. Made the appointment knowing my husband needed blood pressure medicine. His doctor left the office he was at and he's been searching for another office that can take him. Drove the hour up here just to be told they dont supply any medicine to anyone.....why are you open? This place is a joke and I understand now after reading the reviews on this location. Save your time and money and stay far away from this place.

First, the receptionist told us to drive down (45 min drive), gave us the address and advised checking in online (which wasn't possible, maybe due to time of day) When we arrived she tried to decline check in because it was 5.37 p.m. (7 minutes after cut-off). She also stated she never talked to us on the phone. After the check-in paperwork, the doc said there was nothing they could do, as they have no testing capabilities or ability to write scripts for pain. Wouldn't even look at my injury. I walked out at 5:53 p.m., realized I had one more question, tried to go back in the front door and it was already locked. This crew's priority is going home promptly at 6pm sharp. Don't waste your time, go to the other highly rated urgent care in Petoskey that's across from the hospital.
