New patient new diagnosed with diabetes. Missed an appointment due to a family funeral. Asked for virtual/telemed appointment which they said yes. Day of appointment they called 45 minutes after scheduled time. To tell me they could not do appointment. Nurse listened to my concerns said doctor would call. Never called. Back home tried to make appointment for current day or at least that week. Nothing for three weeks with my new doctor or two weeks with another in practice. I have many concerns and questions and was told she (the receptionist) could not do anything about the doctors schedule. So disappointed and cannot believe the lack of care. I thought this place would be good, and as my mom was previously a patient of McLaren Macomb, I thought it would be the easiest transition. I was wrong, and it would have been easier to set her up at a completely new place then re-establish her here. They had the wrong phone number for me, because I guess they didn't update it when I gave it to them at least three times during the appointment, once verbally and at least twice on the paperwork. So I was wondering why I wasn't getting any call backs from the referrals. I had to call them. I had asked for a referral for home care help, still haven't gotten that, 3 months later. I get that not every doctor can be versed in taking care of dementia patients, I don't expect them to. But this place doesn't even seem to consider how hard it is. M

Dr. Flynn is my PCP, best one I've had in years. She takes time and actually listens, a quality too rare. I would recommend her to anyone seeking care.

Before scheduling my appointment, I called to verify that they took my insurance Tricare Prime. I mentioned it the receptionist multiple times a day she assured me they took it. I drove an hour and 20 minutes, just to get there and have them say sorry for the misunderstanding we do not take your insurance. So just beware.

Listed online this is a medical lab. Receptionist was unkind when I inquired of lab hours, stating this a family practice not a lab. Please be kind to others, you never know their struggles.
