I’ve been taking our crew to this office for over 5yrs and always had such great care until yesterday. Had the worst experience ever with the new vet. First sight she insulted the dogs about “being like gremlins that kept popping up”. Then she made each of them scream loudly during treatment (nail trim, exam, blood draw, anal glands), which I understand, it happens. But she commented afterwards that evacuating anal glands (most small dogs require this for health) was utterly disgusting to her and the absolute worst part of her job. She was curt, lacked compassion, was unprofessional, and hurt and terrified my dogs. Not sure why she’s a vet! I won’t be back until she’s gone. So happy to have an opportunity to sing praises for the MCBH Vet Clinic, specifically Dr. Claire Conrath and her team Kristen and Tammy. I followed her from Ft Shafter Vet Clinic, several years ago, because of her sincere and professional care for my 18 year old cat. She was there at the end as I held Tux, as he crossed the rainbow bridge. My new rescue cat unfortunately has a skin condition. Dr Conrath has made the effort to research and consult with a feline dermatology specialist for treatment options. Best military veterinary clinic on island! Prices are great, staff is extremely helpful and very kind. They accept all branches of the military. They perform Domestic health certificates, annual wellness exams and acute sick calls. Highly recommend!

The doctors and nurses there our fantastic knowledgeable and friendly. And I was very pleased that I went to visit there with my dog.

I have been with this vet office since October 2020, I appreciated the in-person consultations and the demonstrable care provided by previous veterinarians. The willingness to educate and talk to the owners was always a plus. However, after meeting this new vet and only getting 2 mins of her time, she didn't tell me her name. She didn't do shots or anything face to face, which made me feel like she could give to shits less about my dogs.
