You can tell they are happy with their employer, and that positivity clearly reflects in the way they treat their patients. Dr. Tavarez took a great deal of time listening to my concerns, which is something that often feels lost in today’s healthcare environment. I can’t say enough good things about McAllen Emergency. From the moment I walked in, the registration staff, techs, nurses, and doctor were all incredibly kind and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable right away by offering me a blanket, checking on me constantly, and even offering water. There was absolutely no wait time, and they worked very quickly while still making me feel truly cared for. On top of that, they even gifted me a McAllen ER bag with goodies on the way out, which was such a thoughtful touch. I left feeling way better and reassured. I went into this OR yesterday for the first time. Thy called me in minutes after getting paperwork to fill out. Everyone was very nice and attentive. The Dr. and nurses were amazing. They did some bloodwork on me and a chest x-ray. It did take a little long to get my results on cheats-ray but only because they had a major emergency to tend to but they came in to my room to explain To me and that they would be with me as soon as they could. They did. I even got a cute cooler bag with some goodies after I got released. It’s nice that they checked on me the next day to see how I was doing.
