McAllen City Vital Statistics

We were there at 4:08 pm. They close at 5pm. They told us they couldn't help us because they said that the last person to sing in to help was at 4pm.

The folks at this government office are efficient, organized, hard-working, and caring too. They worked with me over the course of 2 weeks (holiday weeks, nonetheless), going above and beyond the call of duty to help me with solving a complicated mess due to the postal service losing the document that they had processed so quickly. They are amazing!! I was absolutely blown away by their efforts to help me when my problem was really not theirs to care about, nor theirs to fix. I felt heard and helped each time I had to reach out to them. Blessings to each one!!

Arrived around 8:15 am today Thursday, only 4 people ahead of me .The passport guy was super helpful and friendly. Cindy at the birth certificate area was also friendly. She said we came at a good time as gets very busy. I was done in 30 minutes. Parking entrance was on the side of the building. Paid $1 for 45 minutes. I don’t like the two way in and out of the parking lot as it is very narrow. I’m used to one way ingress in Houston. Experience was pleasant.

I was stunned at the wait unacceptable and agents taking my debit card and information and telling me to sit and wait seems unprofessional and a liability to my card. Seemed dingy and smelled of food.due to open cafeteria area. Seemed very dddd free add tacky place.Hopefully, with all the money the city of mcallen has they can get a proper office. And, those security guards are a joke.

Excellent customer service. Clerk was very professional and knowledgeable in answering my questions. Reasonable wait time, and convenient parking garage.
