Mayo Clinic pharmacy

I recently moved to Jacksonville Beach because of Mayo Clinic. I've been pleased with the pharmacy staff until this afternoon. I've previously been greeted nicely, smiled at, wished God's blessings, and asked if I would like a bag. The lady that serviced me today raised her voice, told me my primary in MD can't send a prescription to Mayo and didn't offer to facilitate the transfer even though I told her my initial primary with Mayo isn't until the end of the month. My daughter was shocked by the way she was speaking to me and noticed the people in line behind us also seemed concerned. My primary in MD has been facilitating my medication refills at Mayo since I moved here. All she had to do was request it tomorrow but of course she snapplily said she couldn't on Sunday. THEY WERE OPEN ON EASTER!! so I woke up this morning and had a serious facepalm moment when I realized I was due to refill my meds today but it was also Easter Sunday. I thought for sure I was gonna be in for 24 hours of suffering until they opened on Monday........but no!!! They were open for a few hours!! Many thanks!! Also the employees in mayo clinic are strange in that they seem to be happy to be at work. Everyone is so friendly and nice. I worked at a sheriff's department for 20 years where everyone hated being at work every day, Mayo is the exact opposite. It's so refreshing.

Just had a quick phone call with the pharmacy. Quick, expedient, knowledgeable, to the point and very polite. Not what you get at most pharmacies! 😂 I don’t know how they do it, nor will I ever want that job; I love when I can have a conversation in a business professional manner and it be seamless.

With five visible assistants in this pharmacy, the efficiency level needs improvement. Not sure if protocol states wait times >1 hour but it seems an extreme wait for a script NOT requiring countig pills. My appointment took less time.
