Sometimes you have to experience something for yourself to form your own opinion. In light of some of the other reviews, my father received excellent care at Mayfair. For starters, the social worker John "Jaye" Girardi was PHENOMONAL. He responded to every inquiry expeditiously. He answered all my calls the same day, and responded to my emails. He helped me get in touch with other staff regarding my dad's medication, his diet, occupational services, and insurance issues. Jaye was always friendly and kind and it was very evident how much he cares about the patients. Danielle, my dad's speech therapist was very helpful as well. The nurse on his unit, Anderson was extremely attentive and caring. I would visit my dad at random times throughout the week because my schedule was so unpredict

The bad reviews are correct!!! :( Worst experience of my life. Cried everyday! They stole my blanket, mentally ill patients, blood on the walls in room and hallways, dirty is Horner’s are cleaner than this place. The toilets are shared between 4 people it connects the room so you’ll be caught by others which I happened to me a man from maintenance and the other side roommates. They have no care or repair for their jobs. Run away fast and the first floor is the only current one. Go to the 3rd floor it smells like they are collecting poop for years, no regard to the health & safely of the air quality. I was given either cold food that need to be microwave always and the lunch was ok but dinner I was forgotten so food was made and that was my struggle there is to be fed. I kept being told is

This nursing home is disguising. How does this nursing home pass the yearly NYS survey? They neglect patients. Elevators don’t work It is dirty. Smells of urine. Nursing staff is rude/mean to the patients. Aides are useless. Social work was probably the most professional staff in there. The doctors are also very incompetent. Giving me incorrect information regarding my mom. At one point a doctor from Mayfair called me to talk about my mom and she said that she just did an exam on her… my mom wasn’t even at the facility. She was sent to the hospital 2 days before that. So this doctor was giving me someone else’s information thinking it was my mom. And arguing with me about it. 🤯They have lost my all of my mom’s belongings. I could go on and on

One of my senior members was placed at the Mayfair Care Center for the last two months. I am in the senior care industry and have been in most if not all rehab facilities on Long Island and I can honestly say this facility is the worst that I have ever experienced. It is filthy, there are air conditioners fastened to the wall by duct tape, the attendants are dismissive and the overall smell is overwhelming. If this review would allow me to, I would not even give one star. The only one good thing that I can say about this facility is the wonderful and professional manner of one of the case workers Jaye Jirardi. He was attentive, patient and caring for the senior that was there, and very professional and easy to work with when coordinating with me his discharge and future plans . If

If I could give it 0 stars I would! This place is a scam! They treat patients like animals! the place is filthy and they lie to families about their relatives. They were holding my brother like a hostage, wouldn’t let him call 911 and withheld his medication which caused him to get severely sick. Do not, I repeat do not send your family members here! This website is nothing like the actual place! This is false advertisement! I am filing a complaint against them and their employees.
