Maxem Health Urgent Care

Doctor Newson is the best. She has helped me on two occasions when I was really sick. And I really appreciate her caring attitude. She is very nice and does not rush you even when waiting room is crowded. She gives everyone same loving care.

I only had to wait an hour as there were several people before me. Dr Strange was easy to talk to but he sure did talk fast. He gave me two prescriptions that have now helped me start recovering from a cold I’ve had for 4 weeks. No issues with this visit!

This place is very patient and listen but my only problem is waiting for so long due to only 1 doctor in the facility. Also we were not giving a summary of the medical record which I think is odd. So I called and ask if they had a patient portal and they told me no. I have been coming to Maxem Health for a while but it was in Picayune and they have a portal and print out the summary as well. Also the Gulfport location say the do x rays and blood work but they wanted my husband to go to the ER instead. Good place but lack of communication and advertising.

We usually go on base for most medical but for little ouchies this place is close & for the most part easy. You can count on a good hour or two (or longer) of waiting until you actually get back into a room though but I guess that's pretty much anywhere you go these days. We love the nurses & doctors! They've always treated us wth respect, as an individual, with sincerity & very thorough. Great bedside manner which is important to us. I do wish after going there 11+yes (and our info being exactly the same) I wouldn't have to fill out the same paperwork every time but it's not too long.

The wait time was perfect. And the Np has very great bed side manners. But the front desk clerk couldn’t show better manners when dealing with customers they made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted customer care training is very much needed.
