Dr Neal saw my son at the ER, early Saturday morning. After evaluating his MRI, he gave my son several options to see if there would be any improvement through the weekend up to Tuesday. His office called Aaron on Monday to follow up and see if there was any improvement. There wasn't, so they scheduled an early morning appointment for the next day. Dr Neal met with us and suggested to have surgery as soon as possible. He submitted his recommendation/ request and it was approved immediately. Dr Neal and his staff were very detailed, informative and caring. The surgery went well, we were kept informed throughout the procedure via texts and phone calls. My son received the best possibly care from Dr Neal, his team and Roper St Francis. I pray that no one every has to take their son to the ER

My husband had successful ACDF surgery performed by Dr. Neal at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. I was initially concerned about him having this surgery and had several questions which I shared with Dr. Neal through My Chart. Instead of responding through My Chart, Dr. Neal took the time to call us, answering all questions and reassuring me that it was a common, routine surgery and the best option for my husband. Going forward, the whole experience was a wonderful success. Dr. Neal is a caring, dedicated and excellent neurosurgeon. The facility was exceptional… a beautiful hospital with very competent and caring nurses and staff. My husband was very fortunate to have had such a remarkable experience with Dr. Neal.

Dr Neal; Dr Burg, and Talesha were extremely supportive, professional, and comforting throughout the surgical process. Together; they made sure I fully understood what was happening and why. Talesha was instrumental in making sure my paperwork was completed in a timely manner for my short term disability. Dr Neal and Dr Burg were extremely transparent about the need for surgery, findings after surgery, and the recovery process. When asked if I was happy that I had The surgery, and with this team, the answer was simple. Yes!

I had a spinal fusion done. Dr Neal and the entire staff at Roper are super friendly and take time to address any concerns or questions. Everybody I came in contact with was fantastic. And of course the best part is the surgery was a success and I’m already nearly pain free after only 2 weeks.

Dr Neal was wonderful! Professional, detail oriented, and performed my micro disectomy with precision returning me to living my life again! His staff also made my experience so much easier!
