Marywood Nursing Care Center

I was a patient at Marywood for three weeks September/October 2025 due to the amputation of my right leg. The care was wonderful. The nurses were knowledgeable and provided excellent care. The aides were attentive and kind checking in with me often to see if I needed anything. PT was excellent, 5 days a week focusing on building my strength so that I could take care of myself when I went home. They have activities such as bingo, music, puzzles and a hair salon for those who want to have their hair and nails done. The food was good, better than the average hospital food and they provided me with fresh fruit for snacks. The main thing, though, is that the care at Marywood is excellent. I highly recommend this facility and am very happy that I received my care there.

My mother recently stayed at Marywood Nursing Care Center in Livonia for rehab following a broken hip, and I can’t say enough good things about the care she received. From the moment she arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable, supported, and engaged in her recovery. The rehab services were excellent—the therapists were patient, knowledgeable, and really helped my mom make steady progress. What really stood out was how proactive the staff were in getting her involved in daily activities, which made a big difference in her overall mood and recovery. Marywood is a great organization to get care. THE Staff is very knowledgable and executes their function with expertise. Heather, head of nursing, Shawn ,social activities and Shonte ,nursing are special at what they do.Could not ask for anyone better. Shonte, who cares for us daily, goes beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She is very caring and executes her responsibilities as a nurse with professionalism beyond the norm. I am grateful for all she has done for us and will miss her kind smile as she goes about her daily tasks. I would be remiss if I did not thank the Rehabilitation personnel . Ed and Tracy guided me through many sessions of rehab which are proving out as i progress physically.They are. excellent in their care and advise. Thank you Marywood personel Joanne

I can’t say enough what a wonderful place this is. My sister was very fortunate to go here for her rehabilitation. From the moment arriving the friendly staff to the cleanliness and warm updated decor. The food was delicious and a great variety. We loved the daily activities they have and all the staff to get you there and involved. The nurses and staff were so helpful and nice. The therapy staff was great and bonus to see the wild turkeys on occasion through the glass windows in there. And a special thank you to Angie for all her caring and kindness. Thats not an easy job when insurance dictates your time there. Thank you everyone for all your help and support for a great recovery at an amazing place. Couldn’t have found anywhere to even come near this place❤️

My uncle is a resident here. He recently had back surgery and can’t stand or get in and out of bed by himself. After physical therapy, they wheeled him back to his room and left him there — alone, unable to move, and without access to the call buzzer. When he needed to use the bathroom, he literally had no way to reach anyone. My mother asked for help three times, and they still ignored her until she finally got angry. This place is a disgrace. The staff act like you’re bothering them when you ask for basic help. They ignore call lights and leave people waiting who clearly can’t fend for themselves. Please — do not ever send anyone you care about here. No one deserves to be treated like this.
