Marlisa is lovely! She helped me navigate my celiac diagnosis and food sensitivities. She’s very knowledgeable about gluten free foods and also gave me countless tips for how to live with the condition. I had been extremely nervous when first diagnosed and Marlisa gently nudged me to be more brave about trying new foods and restaurants. I struggle with the social aspects of having food restrictions, and she helped me gain confidence with advocating for myself. I also appreciate that she encouraged me to find safe versions of foods I enjoyed prior, such cookies and cupcakes. Marlisa has a gentle, holistic approach and has helped me find solutions and ideas that work for my unique needs.

I first met Marlisa Brown in 2014 when I was pregnant with my daughter and diagnosed with gestational diabetes. My first impression was that she was super friendly and helpful. Her knowledge of the diet I had to follow was invaluable. She held my hand through the entire process, resulting in a very healthy little girl in the end. Fast forward to last year when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, she was the only one I could think of to call since I have Celiac Disease as well.
