I feel bad leaving this review because Dr. Balakrishnan is genuinely one of the best doctors ive been to in my life. However the lab staffed within the same building is so atrociously incompetent with the rudest staff i have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. She didnt even attempt to pronounce my name correctly and just called for "whatever". Theyre not even able to refrigerate samples... what is the point of even having a draw station without proper sample storage? Hope that technician is fired so that the good medical staff working there dont get dragged down by just 1 awful employee and her incompetent lab.

This Umass facility started kidding with patients. 4rth time they cancelled my son Covid vaccine at the same day by left voicemail. This facility people are do not respect the patient and there families. Enough is enough. We just continued go to this facility for Dr Vuolo only respected person

The office staff are much friendlier now! Dr Nordfeldt is amazing. The bloodwork was fast and nearly painless. I used to be frustrated by the receptionists rudeness, since this is a great location. I love the convenience and the much improved quality!

It is unfortunate this practice cannot get its act together. Their phone lines are regularly busy and the front desk staff could stand to have a lesson in customer service. When my infant had a high fever, their emergency phone system was down. Rather than have an alternate contact number, they said they couldn't provide urgent service if I needed to speak to someone after hours. They never responded to a portal message I sent 10+ days later. The dated facility and lack of kid friendly colors, materials, etc. is not ideal. The worst part is Dr. Balakrishnan is out the door the second she steps in. She is nice and knowledgeable but it is the most rushed appointment I have ever had. I am a first time single Mom to an infant and can not get all my questions answered before she is out the

Dr. Balakrishnan has been great and the lab center is okay. Phone lines are torturous with average hold times between 15-20min., you'll never be directly connected, so keep that in mind. Improvement can be made throughout with minimal effort to turn this office around. UPDATE 1/13/26: Improvements were made, no more issues with the answering service, overall great place.
