My son had an appointment with Dr McClain as a final determination for TEFRA benefits. At this appointment Dr McClain was not thorough and very unprofessional. We met with him for a short time (only about 25 minutes) During this time in front of my son he stated, "You don't have autism." I guess he felt that meeting with my son and myself for 25 minutes gave him the ability to do a detailed evaluation. How can he make a accurate diagnosis when it took the Center of autism many hours of observation over a period of many weeks? What a quack doctor!
If you go to see him for a Medicaid review. Beware. We got denied. Medicaid assigned us to him and not sure why my autistic kid is no longer deemed eligible.
