Marion Pre-Surgery Testing

My husband went here to have pre op services done. Was told that his BMI was greater than the requirements for having procedure done in out patient facilities so would be scheduled at West Marion hospital. They continued with taking blood and doing EKG. They lied and said these results would be good to use and would not have to be done again. They charged him the copayment his insurance company required. West Marion hospital would not take the results, everything had to be done over and we where told that this Pre op testing center was aware of that. This is like double dipping, the insurance company was charged twice for the same tests.

2 patients. Extremely long wait time when no one is here. Took the girl that came in after us first. I was not allowed to go back with my husband because it was patients only. He was the only one at that time. Just a dead atmosphere, and 2 very slow workers.

The primary word here is incompetence. The people at the front desk seem to have no clue what they are doing and get confused every step of the way (they can’t figure out how to read their own paperwork). Maybe they are all new but it doesn’t seem like it. Arrived 25 minutes before appointment time and was FINALLY brought in 55 minutes AFTER the appointment time. There was only 1 other person in the waiting room, they were not busy. You can hear them laughing and socializing in the back, not a care in the world. The 1 other person waiting asked to use the restroom was denied because they didn’t have time at that moment but she could when she was brought back. A total of 2 hours inside the office total for a blood draw and ekg. This place is a joke.

Rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. Let me start by saying, I am not someone who does a Google review for everything. On the contrary, I am always hesitant to do so and try to give the benefit of the doubt when I face problems with services. In this instance, I believe patients need to know about my experience. Went for a pre-op on May 17, 2024. Before going there, the surgeon's office sent my primary physician and cardiologist clearance for surgery. The primary physician did blood tests and the cardiologist did an EKG. They contacted me from pre-op and told me I needed to come in for a blood test and EKG. I told them I did both and the surgeon's office had the paperwork. I called the surgeon's office and asked why did I need to go to pre-op and they advised that they had spoken to th

Had an appointment for my husband on January 22nd at 8:30. We arrived at 8:00 am to be early for his appointment. We also typed in address on brochure and found ourselves in a residential area trying to find the place. After getting someone on the phone she said address on brochure should be street and not avenue. Unbelievable. Back to the appointment no one showed up until 8:25, five minutes before his appointment. Their hours stated 8 to 4pm! the receptionist was late. At finally 9am, looked like the phlebotomist arrive, so now we are 30 minutes late on his appointment. So they have started their day already behind. What a way to run a business. I give them no stars!
