Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies

I was at the university for an exchange program. The nursing program was very well put together and staff there are amazing and i found very approachable atleat thw ones i had contact with. Facilities are excellent and with the experienced teaching staff you have only to gain from their wealth of knowledge.

If I could give this school no stars I would. My sister had a meeting with a Carole Pomarcio who is the nursing program director. She meets with each candidate before even reviewing their applications. She was extremely discouraging and told my sister to stick to her current career instead of following her dreams of becoming a nurse. My sister explained to her that this had been her passion for a very long time and Pomarcio told her nursing wasn't for her and that no school would accept her. She even discriminated against my sister stating that she would need financial aide and that financial aide would not cover the entire cost of the program , without even knowing my sisters financial status. She also said that my sister would need to get an "A" not an "A-" in every pre requirement class
