This is honestly one of the best dentists we’ve ever been to. My sister is special needs and is scared of needles, and they always go above and beyond to make her feel safe when she receives care. They take care of all the insurance paperwork for us, which is very convenient. The waiting room is top notch. With the sweeping windows and trees outside, it’s a very peaceful place to sit, not that we are ever there for long. They always have interesting materials to read there and they even have a massage chair! The nurses and aids are all friendly and helpful. They remember facts about your previous conversations. I have lived in Ithaca since 2008 and have used at least 5 dental practices. But the best dentist I have had since 2019 is Dr. Marc Purdy. His knowledge and abilities surpass every other dentist I have ever had. He and his excellent staff are very accommodating. They are exceptional in that they will do the paperwork involved to submit to your insurance if you use. They give a senior discount. And the lab that Dr. Purdy uses for oral appliances is highly skilled. He makes certain that whatever your particular need is, you are comfortable and satisfied. I have been very pleased and grateful to him and his staff for their expertise and abilities. I highly recommend his practice.

Marc Purdy is a highly skilled and caring dentist. His extraordinary commitment to continuous learning for himself and his staff is integral to the practice and makes me feel like I’m getting the best possible dental care by an extraordinarily current and professional group. Everyone at the practice is good at what they do. Wendy, Darrian, Kate, Stacey, and others, together with Dr. Purdy, nurture a comforting and friendly environment. I have a LOT of dental anxiety based on some past experiences, and while I will probably never be able to say I *love* going to the dentist, I can absolutely say I have found the best dentist I've ever had and I 100% plan to stay with this office. Every hygienist I've had has been super kind and friendly. I've never once been shamed or lectured about my flossing frequency, which I appreciate enormously. The ultrasonic cleanings they do are gentle and honestly kind of cool feeling--a huge step up from "traditional" cleanings. Dr. Marc has the gentlest numbing I've ever experienced, and he only numbs just as much as he needs to for the work to be done. The best place to go, been coming for years and they are so professional and friendly, and super knowledgeable, had my tongue released and breathing and sleeping a lot better, and have more energy. Diana was amazing before and after the procedure to make sure I got the most benefit, and is also mine and my two children’s hygienist. My oldest started coming at 3yrs old and was very nervous, but Diana is so wonderful with her and now at 6yrs old she loves coming to get her teeth cleaned. Dr. Marc is also absolutely the best and I trust him with everything teeth, mouth related and so knowledgeable and wanting his patients to be informed also to have a healthy and long life.
