We had a wonderful experience at this animal hospital. The staff, especially Linda and Wanda, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They were a joy to interact with and we can't thank them enough for their help! More specifically: I am not from Houston and was here for business. I found a stray in rough shape and called this hospital to see if they could help and take a walk in. They agreed and so I went immediately. I wasn't expecting to pick up a dog that day so I was unable to have the dog with me and they said they could hold her until end of business hours. They found a microchip and contacted the owner who didn't want the dog anymore. Got the owner to offically relinquish the puppy and transfer info to me. They kept me updated throughout the day and managed all of this for m

Manvel Lakes takes great care of our two fur babies! They treat our animals (and us!) with the highest professionalism and service. We feel like valued family members and we know our dogs are getting the best care. Their staff is amazing and our animals have gotten through some scary health emergencies thanks to their expert and excellent care. Highly recommend!

I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience. I recently moved my family here from out of state and chose Manvel Lakes Animal Hospital due to proximity and the expectation of compassionate, competent care. My dog was assigned to Dr. Brode and her team. Visit #1: I brought my dog in for what appeared to be a severe allergic reaction. She was prescribed steroids and sent home, and I followed all instructions carefully. Visit #2 (the next day): My dog returned significantly worse, with severe vomiting and ongoing hives. I was presented with a menu of proposed services and tests, including a nausea injection, with the explanation that if it didn’t work, bloodwork and an additional panel would be required the next day. Rarely would I take the time to rate a local business, but these folks are exceptional. A former colleague recommended I use their vet, which was way out of my way but we had just rescued an abandoned dog that had heart-worms. She required extensive treatment, Dr. Manny and his staff were most hospitable and provided excellent care in a welcoming, warm environment. We have since taken her to our local vet, but anybody looking for a place to take care of their pet I can not say enough good things about this establishment. Thanks for giving Xena a second chance at life, she is the worst dog ever and we love her so much.

I brought my dog in for an eye issue. The doctor and most of the staff were professional. During an eye stain, my dog unexpectedly bit the doctor and broke the skin. I was shocked, embarrassed, and asked if he was okay. He finished examining her from a distance and then left the room, which I understand. My dog is vaccinated. Afterward, one staff member made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She repeatedly told me my dog should never bite, questioned whether I apologized, and said the incident would be reported to animal control. As a first-time dog owner, I didn’t understand what that meant, and she described quarantine and other consequences in a way that terrified me and made me cry.
