Mansfield Pediatric Dentistry

I wanted to find a new dentist in the area for my children. Against my better judgement I scheduled a appoitment for my kids at Mansfield Pediatric Dentistry. The first appointment went great. The 2 dental hygenists (Megan and another woman) were wonderful and they did a great job with my kiddos. Second appointment also went well, my older boys needed sealants. On our 3rd appointment we finally met the dentist, Dr. Lucy, and it was the most HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL experience I have ever had. I could go about the whole story but here are a few bullet points. My son left without getting his dental work due to them taking longer than expected for my first sons dental work and I was told I could "wait in the waiting room" so she could take other patients and she would "hopefully" be able to s

Probably the worst pediatric dentist office ever. Dr. Lucy scared my son and he was crying from the pain of a cleaning. The tech who took the X-rays didn’t use the protective shield- when I confronted her she said that now CT law doesn’t require it. I said that I wanted her to use it, she walked in and didn’t put it on and continued to take an x-ray. UNBELIEVABLE. please do t take your kids there, it’s a nightmare.

I went to the dentist to accompany my sister as she is pregnant and both of my nephews had dentist appointments. Dr. Lucy was staring me down as I was trying to calm my nephew down since my sister is pregnant and Dr. Lucy had asked for one of us to leave the room. Yet again my sister is the mom and pregnant and I was trying to physically help calm my nephew down. Her attitude towards children and parents is atrocious. As a mental health therapist for children and adolescents I can’t comprehend why someone with such a negative attitude can work with children as they need to be comforted and feel safe. Needless to say my sister will be bringing my nephews elsewhere.

I’ve been going here for years! The dental hygienist and the front desk are great! The dentist however….. my 11 year old was having a cavity filled, I had my 1 yr old with me, she tried to demand me to leave the room! No way in hell was I going to! She kept persisting and I still stayed. She was so aggressive with my son. Yelling at me for answering my son’s questions. I told her afterwards I didn’t appreciate the way she spoke to me and she just ignored me. I will never go back there!

Took my granddaughter today. She gets anxiety and throws up. She got sealant put on two back teeth. The hygenist was awesome walked her through each step. She did great. She then had to have a spacer replaced as it had fallen out. Dr. Lucy came in and instantly my granddaughter said to her i need to use the bathroom I'm going to throw up. Dr. Lucy then proceeded to hold her mouth closed and told her if she threw up she would make my granddaughter clean it up. Needless to say she wouldn't let her up. This woman has no right at all to be dealing with children no personality what so ever.
