M Health Fairview St. John's Hospital

I am ONLY rating the check in, & outpatient procedure area. I took one star off only because certain areas could use updating. Everything was great! I was treated with respect, staff was caring/helpful/considerate, everything was pretty clean and they had a gown you wear before your procedure that heats and cools with an attached hose. Would highly recommend for an outpatient, or MRI with sedation procedure.

Understandably overwhelmed with record flu cases but stuffing patients with sepsis staph infections in a dirty corner of the basement with only a curtain as a barrier to the petri-dish of germs floating past??? Rude, overworked nursing staff. Hearing Aids stolen. Requests unanswered. Diagnosis unexplained. It took over 24 hours to get a room upstairs. When we attempted to leave they explained that it was impossible to get care elsewhere at this point and we were not allowed to leave. Quite sure our objections about treatment affected our care going forward. Overall, disgustingly dirty, non-existent communication from professional staff, horrible food and a lousy layout. It’s a rotten place to be sick.

Excellent experience. My daughter had to go to the Emergency Room after an urgent care visit's results came back, and we were closest to St. John's. From start to finish, we were there for 4 hours. We were treated with such care and respect. They ordered very thorough tests and labs, and we were able to leave with a diagnosis and treatment plan. Even though they were extremely busy, all the employers were kind and compassionate and had a great sense of humor. Highly recommended.

Doug the nurse in the ER is amazing! My elderly mother is there because she is sick and there are no beds and I am out of state so I called to advocate for my mom and check in to see what the plan is for her and he spent time looking at things and helping me, even though it didn’t change that there are no beds, but he was very caring and attentive to me and to her. All well, the ER is so busy that there are no beds and the hospital is so busy that there are no beds and he was still caring and compassionate.

Just wanted to share my experience at St John's and Woodwinds hospitals in the past week. Friday November 7th I received a call from my daughter that her husband James was unable to move or walk without great difficulties, my daughter was ill and unable to take him to get emergency care so she asked me to take him. We went to Woodwinds in Woodbury, after being assessed, blood pressure at 191/127 and in obvious distress we went right back to a room. They started and IV and gave him antinausea medication and morphine, this provided much needed relief from the pain immediately. His right leg was giving out and the feeling was diminished greatly. Sent him to have a CT scan. We were told that he had a bone spur that was causing his pain. Shortly afterward they discharged him with oxycodone t
