Let me share my experience with a compassionate, caring and empathetic Nurse by the name of Mrs. Valory Iglesia!!!! My mom was in a TERRIBLE car accident and was brought into Luminis by ambulance around 1:30pm. She is 71 and was suffering from a contusion on her head from trauma, her nose was broken and bleeding endlessly, her knees and ribs were in excruciating pain and her eyesight was blurry from a possible concussion from the impact of the accident. We received minimal to NO TREATMENT from any other Nurse or Doctor until 7pm when Mrs. Valory Iglesia came on board for the night shift in the Emergency Room. I watched several “other” patients be serviced including the man who caused the accident and only asked for a bandaid for treatment. It was as if my mother did not have (2) excellent

The end of life is very challenging for everyone. My father spent his last hours at Anne Arundel Med Center in the ICU. The ICU nurses were AMAZING - respectful, kind, thoughtful, smart, and simply wonderful. They treated my Dad with respect and honor even though he was mostly gone. They sat with us as he died with compassion, intelligence and respect. The main ICU nurse Dan was simply the best of the best - he oozed compassion, professionalism and class. The Respiratory Nurse, whose name I don't remember, was so kind, so respectful and sincerely sweet to my Dad as she cared for him. Our ICU Doc Matthew was not just smart, but thoughtful and caring. He spent the time with us to ensure we had all the facts and could make informed decisions. Thank you all for handling his last hours

I broke my ankle yesterday! The staff was so pleasant and helpful! Every employee was kind and compassionate! And I mean every last one of them! The ladies who checked me in, the nurse, the techs, and physicians! There wasn’t a bad attitude to be had! Unbelievable! It was the best ER experience that Ive ever had!

My mother has been to AAMC three times the last three months and I was happy with her treatment until this most recent one. Absolutely terrible! The nurses were barely around, she was left sitting in her waste for long periods of time, when I was there and pushed the toilet button to help get her to the toilet it took at least half an hour for anyone to respond and by then it was too late. And then they released her today and she’s been sick since I got her home. I guess they needed her bed but she’s not better so shame on the doctor who thought she was ready. When I followed up with the hospital about this their response was bring her back to the emergency room. We are not going back through this mess again. Time to find a new hospital.

I received excellent care for my outpatient service. The entire staff was professional, timely, and efficient. Procedure protocols were provided clearly and all questions were answered confidently, which diminished my stress level.
