Ludlow Health Center Walk-In

Had a chunky laceration from skiing that needed stitches and the team at Ludlow was awesome. We called ahead to confirm they had room, and even with a full house they were able to see me within 2 hours. It's not a 24/7 place, but the people there are great and honest about expectations

Went there sick with an oncoming upper respiratory infection the day before leaving for a vacation and had to literally BEG the doctor for an antibiotic. He didn't think I was sick enough to warrant an antibiotic and wanted to send me for a chest x-ray. This seems to be the modus operandi of the Springfield Medical System. Went on another date to the Springfield office and was DENIED antibiotics. Again told I wasn't sick, only to have to go back again a few days later, when I was extremely ill. Had to pay for two office visits. They think we don't know our own bodies and are on the bandwagon of not prescribing antibiotics. Just make sure you're so sick you're about to die before you show up there if you need an antibiotic.

Everyone was so kind and friendly and their check-in process was so efficient! We came to the walk-in with a sick kid and they took great care of us in such a personable way.
