Lowe Dermatology

Recently my wife had an appointment for a skin cancer removal and through no fault of her own, arrived a few minutes late. The receptionist was very rude and refused to talk to Dr Lowe or her PA. The receptionist decided she was the gateway and it was her responsibility to make medical decisions, despite the fact she probably only has a GED. My wife was horribly distraught and this receptionist could have cared less. The receptionist told her that they would call if they had a cancelation. This is the WORST example of patient care I have ever heard of and I'm a physician. I will make sure and tell as many people as I can to avoid Dr Lowe and her office because they care more about going home at 3:30 than helping their patients. I love Dr.Lowe but the receptionist are rude and careless. I have talked to Dr.Lowe in the past about this but nothing has changed. I thought it was just one of them but it’s both. I was caught in traffic and called and ended up being a few minutes late. I drove over a hour to get there. They talked about me with me sitting in the waiting room where I could hear them and laughing. Slamming the phone because they were mad because I got rude back with them. They are so unprofessional. I wish this wasn’t the case but it is. They are RUDE and I got rude back and they were acting like they were doing me a favor by letting me see the Dr. I don’t know if my anxiety and depression can continue coming here.

This is really sad being I really liked Dr Julie she was always so wonderful to Dr Lane son. However, when I called the receptionist was completely sarcastic bc I wasn't a patient but my son was and they are not taking new patients. Which is interesting being my insurance paid my son. I can understand stand somethings but being arrogant is not one of them.

I'm not understanding the negative reviews for this practice, so I feel compelled to leave a good review. I am so grateful for Dr. Lowe. I have been seeing her for years, but recently developed significant health issues outside the realm of dermatology. Not only has Dr. Lowe cared for my skin, but she has also given excellent advice on my overall health and how it may relate to dermatological issues. She asks questions and never rushes me out of the office, and she's interested in addressing the root cause. I have never had trouble with the front desk staff as others have mentioned. Dr. Lowe deserves a five star review!

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Lowe Dermatology. My wife was a patient for many years before I was. I've gone there many times and have never experienced issues with the front desk or anyone on the medical side. I'm certain we all want immediate assistance and have preconceived expectations, but seeing a medical practitioner may put some people in an anxious mood. I'm sorry others didn't have the same experience, and I'm pretty stern on service expectations. I've had cancer diagnosis's that have required surgical procedures, and I'm darn grateful they identified it and eradicated the problem before it became a major issue. Remember, a smile goes a long way.
