5 stars for quality of care during my visit. They could improve on how appointments are handled as I made an appointment and was not seen until over an hour after the appointment and seemed like people that walked in after my appointment time were seen before me. Again, 5 stars for care but perhaps better disclosure about what "appointment" means would help set proper expectations and reduce frustration.

Very unprofessional! Waited over an hour and a half, just to be told that I’m not sick enough for a prescription. But that I could purchase an test and take it at home , and if it’s positive for flu or Covid, I could take pictures of the test and my id and email it to the nurse. And I did that, and when I called back to let the front desk know, they said, “ I don’t know why she told you that” and gave me a big sigh! I had to pull the leg extensions out just so I could lay down because I was in so much pain, I was leaning against the wall. I was told that people are “ faking” being sick to get a Tamiflu prescription! Well, I’m not one to go to the doctors office for no reason! I’m in the medical field. My visit to Lowcounry Urgent Care started with a call: The receptionist was promt, courteous and scheduled me right in. They were accessible and set me up with first time visit paperwork. The office is clean and organized for wellness with a children's area. I met my care nurse after the tech took my vitals and was impressed by the knowledge and professionalism they both possessed. So after my visit went from "Urgent" to relief I was able to go about my day. I even got a follow up call!

My son developed a bad sickness over a few days and over the weekend. His regular doctors office (covered by my insurance) would not be available until Monday. I arrived and was told no walk in appointments and he'd have to wait for over two hours before being seen and us to come back. I opted to consider the Emergency Room, but believe that that was overkill and would be burden ER staff and other priority patients. I have not routinely used Urgent Care facilities due to Insurance restrictions and sometimes hearing bad reports. HOWEVER, I called ahead to the Low Country Urgent Care on Lady's Island and was welcomed to show up and my son will be seen. Absolutely amazing experience! You were thorough and extremely friendly. My needs were met being expectation! All my questions and concerns were answered with great detail and compassion! Eden was extremely welcoming and kind while checking me in. My NP Pia was so kind and smart I felt safe in her hands! I will absolutely be returning here if I am in need.
