I never even got to meet Dr. Umesh. First, when we called to confirm my appointment for 2:15pm, they told us they had an earlier opening for 1:00pm. Great! We accepted the 1:00pm appointment. When we arrived, everything was normal. An hour passes, and we ask if they forgot to write me down for the earlier appointment. The receptionist (I regretfully didn’t get her name so you could avoid her) began boasting about how amazing Dr. Umesh is and that’s why waiting so long is worth it. We say okay fine, we’ll wait a little past my original appointment. Now, 2 full hours later, I have my husband ask the same woman if there is a fee for leaving after showing up for my appointment, as we aren’t a no-show or missed appointment, but the wait is becoming ridiculous. While individual doctors who work here are excellent, the administration and staff at this location are unprofessional, prioritize financial profit over patient care, and openly mock patients. If asked to do something as simple as wearing a mask, they will not only refuse, they will fight you about it like a man being asked to wear a condom for sex. "But you're vaccinated (on birth control), right??" Yeah, I still need to not catch the strep/cold/flu/covid you're spreading around this office. I have a heart condition, or I wouldn't be here. I never have to wonder if Dr Arena knows his stuff. He is an awesome Dr. I met him when I had to go to Lakeview emergency room on the 27th of December with pancreatitis from a rheumatoid arthritis drug that made me have uncontrollable vomiting. My heart enzymes were off and the attending doctors, DR. Arena thought I had a heart attack. I saw Dr. Arena twice a day. I was so expressed with his approach. My internist wanted me to change cardiologist. I refused and I am still with Dr. Arena.

A doctor that truly cares about his patients! Thorough and listens to your needs! I actually feel alive again! Thank you Dr. Umesh Patel! Highly recommend him! Worth the hour and a half drive!!

I had lost all hope until I found Dr. Patel. He is a doctor who actually listens because he actually cares! One of the best doctors I have ever seen.
