Looking Glass Myofascial Release

Prior to meeting Lisa, I suffered chronic pain and swelling in my right knee that wouldn't subside. My ability to drive, walk up and down stairs, or even just around town was, at times, excruciating. Being an active cyclist/skateboarder in my early 30's, I was depressed, disillusioned and felt out of options. I was referred to Lisa by one of her previous clients and, though I'd never known about Myofascial Release before, I was open to trying anything that might help me regain some normalcy. I decided to make an appointment with Lisa, when I was struggling with muscle tension, neck/back pain, as well as underlying hypermobility. I had tried massage and traditional physical therapy, but I was not seeing lasting results. Myofascial release therapy has been an absolute game-changer, and I am so happy that I reached out to her. Within a couple visits, I was seeing results and learning a lot about my body. She combines an amazing skill set with an insight to figure out what your body needs. It was also nice to receive multiple modalities within the appointment, including dry needling, cupping, and intraoral work for TMJ issues. I first went to see Lisa during a flare of full-body tension and nervous system overload, and her myofascial release work has been a game changer. I’ve had bits of MFR as part of massage before, but never anything this effective. I’ve been living with Ehlers-Danlos and chronic pain for over 10 years, and I’ve worked with lots of doctors, therapists, and bodyworkers—Lisa’s treatments stand out. She’s not only incredibly skilled as a physical therapist (with pelvic floor expertise), but she’s also compassionate and really listens.
