Longwood MRI Specialists PC

Had two MRIs, they were very quick and efficient, decent cost compared to other options into the area. The technician running the MRI was very nice and ran through all of what to expect, including giving updates of how long was left when in the MRI. They also supply headphones with music which is nice to have during an MRI.

I searched for an MRI stand alone facility instead of sending my son, who is away at college, to a more expensive hospital setting. I called to explain I am half way across the country and my son has to go to his first MRI without me, and I was a bit nervous. Gabrielle and Amy were amazing!! They took the time to speak with me and I felt like we were in good hands. Payment up front is necessary as I understand that they're a small office, not a huge hospital so they cannot have people leave and "hope" people pay their bill once it's put thru to insurance. They reassured me that if my insurance shows, after EOB is mailed out, I owe less, they'll issue a refund. Quick service. Well managed and a very kind staff. I highly recommend Longwood MRI. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I recently called Brigham's MRI to ask a few questions, basically to find out if they had an Open MRI. The front desk person that answered the phone was not friendly at all, in fact she seemed to have an attitude. I was asking if she was aware of anywhere that had an Open MRI? Her answer to me was New York!! Seriously? I live in Massachusetts and know there must be open MRIs here. I had to call around to find one and found out Tufts has the newest 3T MRI which is better for me and those with anxiety using a regular one. I was totally disappointed with the front desk lady who had directed me to NY! I feel Brigham need to catch up with the newest available MRIs and get someone that actually cares enough about their potential customers to be more kind and better informed when someone calls

I had a perfectly pleasant experience and I don't think this MRI center deserves the low reviews. The staff was pleasant and the MRI technician made jokes, played nice music, and made sure I was comfortable. Scheduling was easy, and they were understanding when I had to reschedule 3 times due to my insurance denying coverage at first. Always quick to get me in for an appointment in less than a week. Highly suggest going in for an appointment as early as possible to get one of the first time slots of the day. Any MRI place can get backed up later in the day if people can't sit still and have to redo scans. Not the business's fault. In regard to up front payment, they're transparent from the get-go about asking for this, and if it's a problem for you, there are other MRI centers. Serious
