Long Island Jewish Valley Stream - Emergency Room

Horrible treatment! I Always relayed on LIJ but this location has disappointed me. Left the hospital in worse condition than when i was admitted. The staff were nice but their service and treatment was very very poor. They couldn’t figure out the problem i was having so they kept putting pain medicine in my system. Kept me 3 days just to tell me go see your orthopedic!!? This is ridiculous! Please do yourself a favor and goto a different hospital or at least other locations of Northwell health .

Emergency room was occupied with two patients sharing an exam room clearly intended for one patient. The room was divided by a divider giving no true protection of patient information. This is a complete violation of HIPPA laws. Why should I be sharing my personal information with a stranger sharing an exam room able to here my medical history or demographics

I was here in the emergency room for a severe back injury with immense pain. I was attended by RN Frederica Forde. When she first attended to me she had a normal regular bedside attitude, intake and than left. My partner and son came to be by my side and when she came back her attitude was way off. I don’t know if it’s because of my race or my partners race having anything to do with it but it’s no coincidence her demeanor changed when my partner arrived. Her attitude changed from attentive to dismissive. I did not understand her attitude changing and the tone in which she spoke to me. Despite of my pain, I always kept a good attitude with everyone there including her. I didn’t scream or yell at her whatsoever. At one point, I asked for an X-ray because the pain was super concerning to me.

If i could leave a 0 star review i would!!! I waited for hours to finally be seen and when i finally did get seen i had the luxury of getting Jessica Gallucci as my nurse. Exepct it wasnt a Luxury. I politely asked for the bathroom and medicine for Nasuea as i was throwing up all night. Jessica tells me to either wait or go to a different emergency room. Mind you i already waited for hours to just to get into this ER and finally be seen. When I called her out for being rude she once again told me to go somewhere else. When i asked for another nurse she once again said “Nope” “Go somewhere else if you dont like it” This is no way to treat your pateints espically ones who are just looking to you for help. The security guard was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was preoccupied with her phone, arguing loudly with someone, and redirected her frustration toward visitors. Her demeanor was aggressive and disrespectful, and she showed no compassion or empathy toward individuals visiting their sick loved ones. Her conduct created an uncomfortable and stressful environment during an already emotional time and did not reflect appropriate behavior for her position. Did not want to give her name and was unable to see it who ever was on shift 2:53pm 12/16/25
