I came in last year around this time to get my teeth cleaning. I was then told that my amalgam filling had to be changed due to it being “old”. Mind you, my filling was perfectly fine, I had no pain and my teeth were perfectly fine. They convinced me to change to composite filling for two of my teeth. After my filling was switched out, I experienced extreme pain when chewing. I reached out to the office to let them know something was wrong and all they did was gaslight me into thinking nothing was wrong and the pain would just “go away.” I went back at least 4 times for them to check what was wrong and every time they’d just brush me off. My husband and I have been looking for a new dentist. What we didn’t realize is at Long Island family dental, That we would receive expertise in service and care. From Sherry at the front desk, scheduling and insurance expert, to Kelly who was incredible with her cleaning testing, X-rays, polishing, and explaining in great detail what is going on. Including the benefits of Invisalign. I love that. Also- She took her time, was very thorough. I felt no pain and was not rushed. Next we saw the dentist who explained priority dental work needed for both of us and the reasons why. This has been a great experience for us both. Highly recommended.

After my usual dentist retired I chose to go here because of all the good reviews, but I unfortunately had a bad experience here. I will say the staff is very nice and I can't speak for the other doctors except for Dr. Kristen Nigro. Early June she filled a cavity of mine and did another filling in late July. Ever since those dates, I haven't been able to eat without pain on those two teeth where the fillings are due to the pressure of the food inflicting pain. I never had this problem before, it's been almost 4 months since I could eat normally! I've been chewing on one side of my mouth this whole time, it's become very difficult and tiring to eat. I went back to her 4 times and complained and all she does each time is adjust my bite and claim not to know what else could be wrong, but not

If I could give zero I would. Absolutely awful. I noticed two cavities that no one noticed in the X-ray. Had to go back and fix a tooth and the tooth still hurts when I floss. I went to the dentist a total of 6 times in 5 months. Think they were just after my money because the results were not great. Now I have a hole in a decaying tooth that they didn’t see either yet they keep telling me I owe them money. Complete waste. Also, no one follows up with the patient unless it’s for money but if something went wrong they don’t care if it gets better or not unless you constantly keep in contact with them. Poor service. Poor results.

Outstanding and caring service from Dr. Zanelli and Dr. Krauss!! They are patient, caring and thorough. Helped me through extensive work and the progress is excellent. Kelly their Dental Hygienist is the best in the business! I am a person who was Dentist phobic, no longer, and would recommend this group to anyone . I encourage you to contact them and experience the finest dental care on Long Island!
