LKN Speech Language Pathology

LKN speech and pathology has been amazing for my 5 year old who has autism and our family! Lisa is so sweet and compassionate! She very knowledgeable about different ways children communicate and I have learned a lot tools from her of how to communicate with my child! His language blossomed so much more since he started speech with her back in the summer!!

When my daughter began working with LKN-SLP, she was in third grade. She was below grade level, hated reading, loathed doing her homework, and had started disliking school. After working with Mrs. Lori for a while, my daughter passed her end-of-grade testing, tolerates homework, and has found joy in a good book! LKN-SLP is so flexible with our busy family of five and fit us in with Ms. Emily, who is so passionate about her work with kids and whose enthusiasm for reading is so profound that it can’t help but be absorbed by our daughter. This practice has been such a blessing to my family.

I highly recommend LKN Speech-Language Pathology. My daughter has been going there for 6 months now and we have seen great progress! She has been seen by Marissa and Lisa and both have been so wonderful. They are so encouraging and supportive and clearly have a heart for what they do!

We were referred to LKN Speech Language Pathology after I shared a concern with our pediatrician that while the school indicated my daughter was a ‘top reader’ in class that my personal reading experiences did not support this. I didn’t have the right nomenclature for it at the time, but my daughter had high functioning oral vocabulary and memory skills while also struggling with letter/phonemic awareness. The letter/phonetic opportunities were what I was experiencing while reading with my child! The referral was truly a blessing for my family. We adore the LKN Speech Pathologist team who were paramount in identifying our child’s learning difference and in creating strategies to help her learn in a way that creates the meaningful connections that her precious brain requires. The skills and
