Living Center West

Great staff members! The residents that reside here have nothing negative to say. The food is good and the care has improved a lot over the years. Just don’t forget to push that black button before you open the doors to the building unless you really want to announce your presence lol.

Could not be more disappointed in the level of care and service from the 4th Ave. facility. My mother's care was mismanaged on more than one occasion while at the 4th Ave. facility. Poorly managed and poorly maintained.

Living Center East has been an amazing place for my 89 year old mother who could no longer live independently. They have a higher ratio of staff to residents than many other places -and- the staff are fabulous! Nursing staff are highly trained, skilled in Aging Care, and so compassionate. Nursing assistants dress my Mom, shower her twice weekly, toilet her with care, and transition her from sitting to standing, and from bedroom to dining room. I couldn't possibly take such GREAT CARE of my Mom in my own home. Housekeeping is wonderful and takes care with all her clothes and personal articles in her room. They constantly are cleaning and doing laundry and did I mention, cleaning! Food service is wonderful! Don't you know that since grade school we all complain about food, but what I see is

The care staff are good But the administration less so. The social workers don’t know what they are talking about and sometimes give conflicting information. She couldn’t even bother to be there for the point of care meeting last week to discuss discharge plans. So she wasn’t there when discussing further care that the facility couldn’t provide. They basically didn’t tell my grandma the truth and led her to believe staying there would be best. She was convinced to sign a contract paying them money to stay there per day/up front, while not receiving the therapy she should have to continue her care. They didn’t even consult with her next of kin or give us the chance to discuss options with her and determine what we feel is best for her Last week a plan was out in place to move her to a d

The absolute worse place to send a family member. The staff just plain lie to family members, dont give accurate medical updates, and are very negligent to the needs of the patients. I would recommend anywhere else but Living Center East. It is dirty, and gross feeling on top of everything as well. Please dont send your family member there, you will regret it.
