Little Palm Speech and Feeding Therapy

My son had a severe stroke at 10 months old leaving him with extreme neurological deficit and developmental delay. Colleen started working with him twice a week. At the start (8/2024), he had ZERO awareness of when there was a utensil/bottle/finger, etc. in his mouth or not. Fast forward to his 2nd birthday, about one year later (9/2025), and he ate an entire piece of his birthday cake, followed by a few sips of milk. She always came with a plan, she was very professional and quickly focused on a quality appt without distractions, gave amazing tips for “homework” for the week and followed up immediately at the next meeting, and had amazing recommendations for every hurdle we faced. If she can achieve the progress we reached with such a severe case, she can certainly help any child with fee

We have been with Colleen for over a year. She came into our family when my (then) one year-old could not even a baby food pouch due to gagging and was having difficulty swallowing water, which was majorly impacting his overall well being. Within a couple of months, she found a cup to help him drink and had him eating more food more consistently and successfully - all through warm, playful interactions instead of the stern behavioral approaches I have otherwise witnessed in feeding therapy. He has since graduated feeding therapy and Colleen has continued to work with him for articulation also coaching me so that we can help him make more sounds and attempt more words. Colleen is wonderful! She is gentle, caring, and makes everything fun. Colleen creates a safe space for my daughter to play and interact with her while learning. My husband and I have learned a lot, too! She gives us practical strategies to use and incorporate during our every day activities. I have seen so much growth in my daughter’s communication after her time with Colleen- even her teachers have commented on the improvement in her speech. I am beyond impressed and grateful for such an amazing speech pathologist for my daughter.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Colleen, our speech pathologist and feeding therapist. She is incredibly experienced and always brings a wealth of knowledge to our sessions. Previously we worked with a new grad SLP and made no progress with communication or feeding.. We needed someone experienced to see the progress we wanted! My son also does better at home instead of a clinic. Colleen's kindness and personable nature make her so easy to work with, and her flexibility in scheduling and coming to our house has been a true blessing.
