Little Neck Care Center

Unfortunately I cannot say we had a positive experience here with my dad's stay. I will say a small number of the aids were very helpful, as well as the social services team, and physical therapists are great. Before arriving, I had found out that my friends' grandma was also at this rehab so I asked for their feedback. I do not want to speak to their behalf but they did give me a heads up that she faced neglectfulness due to the grandma's language barrier. For the record, my dad speaks English with an accent. He is calm and pleasant. He's not quick to complain about anything. My biggest issue our first night was aid Barbara. This place is what nightmares are made of! Keep your loved ones far away from here. Little Neck Care Center markets itself as a “boutique” rehabilitation center, but in reality it is inhumane, dirty, rundown, short-staffed, and staffed with inpatient, inattentive employees who lack basic empathy. After my father suffered a fall, the hospital recommended he go here for in-patient rehabilitation with daily physical therapy. Upon arrival, the transport person was directed to drop us off at his bed. No staff greeted us. We sat waiting at his bedside with a crumpled blanket thrown at the foot of the bed and the floor surrounding his bed had visible sign dirt and crumbs scattered about. After 15 minutes, I went to the nurses’ station to ask for someone to check him in. Another 15 minutes passe

How is anyone giving this place more than 1 star? The place is terrible!! The filter in the air conditioner was filthy and when we told them to clean it they gave us crazy attitude. Constantly found my father in-law in a soiled dipper and he developed a nasty bed sore that they never treated despite us telling them to. We actually took my father in-law out of there and they didn't even notice he was gone for hours. They eventually called us to asked if we had taken him home. This place is terrible. Bring your loved one here at your own risk!!!!

New- Everyone in the facility has ignored my mother's pneumonia two times. The last time her oxygen level was 70 and they thought it was fine. I had to call for an ambulance myself. The nurse Marie doesn't care about anything, except herself. She hides in the medicine closet all day long and Sonita,the other nurse on the floor, believes that my mother will be better off in bed all day. I don't think they understand what pneumonia is and how to avoid it. New - On 12/28/24 , only 3 aides for 40 residents that need 100% care. Not sure how this facility is still allowed to continue operating. 3rd floor staff are a neglectful, callous and nasty group of employees. They just want to keep all of the residents in bed all day. They have, on multiple occasions, left my mother's window open when it'

Five Stars for Little Neck Care Center. I am writing this review to express my sincere gratitude to the staff at Little Neck Care Center for the excellent care they have provided to my mother. She has been a resident there for 2 years, and during that time, she has received nothing but the best care from the staff. The staff at Little Neck Care Center is truly compassionate and dedicated to their residents. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that my mother is happy and comfortable. They are also very responsive to my needs and concerns. I always feel comfortable calling the facility if I have any questions or concerns, and I know that they will be addressed promptly.
