Littell Family Medicine -- Personal Doctor

My husband and I are new patients here and absolutely love Dr. Littell and his staff! I've never felt more comfortable or HEARD by a doctor before, didn't have unnecessary tests or prescription meds pushed, and he treated/handled my two complaints on my first visit today. My husband saw him last month and I went with him. For both visits, there was only a wait of a few minutes before the tech took us back and did all the pre-exam things, then only another few minutes before Dr. Littell came in. He took his time! He asked questions, listened to answers, and was pleasant and professional the entire time. So happy to be in great hands for our medical care!

I found Littell as a doctor after moving to FL 3 years ago. I was looking for a PCP, and also saw he did dermatology so I picked him. I have a kidney transplant and need yearly skin checks for cancer because I take anti rejection medicine and I am at high risk for skin cancer. After seeing him I mentioned about an appointment for body check for cancer and he asked if I had any sores or reddened areas on my body and I said, not to my knowledge and he said then you are fine. On another occasion I went to him because I fell and hurt my lower spine. I wanted X-rays because my lower spine was very painful. He asked me if I'm having any trouble going to the bathroom. I am very disappointed in the way this office manages patient care. The doctor gives out his number and encourages patients to call and be seen the same day, but that has never been my experience. Each time I’ve tried, I’ve been told there are no available appointments, leaving me feeling like my care is not accessible. As a vulnerable patient who needs specific care that only a primary care provider can provide, I expected better support. On a recent Friday, I called at 8:00 a.m. for an urgent issue, but was told the doctor was already leaving for the day even though the office is open until 1:00 p.m. The nurse practitioner on call was unable to provide the injection I required, meaning I was left without the necessary treatment. Dr. Littell has been and is currently treating my elderly mother. He has been extremely patient with her almost constant phone calls until I had to step-in and explain to her that she needs to calm down (she has anxiety). Dr. Littell has been quick to answer my calls and inquiries while being the utmost professional and respectful. He listens, analyzes and then discusses a treatment strategy. I am glad my mother is under his care and direction and recommend anyone needing a well experienced physician to contact his office.
