Lilac City Pediatrics

Honestly, I am a little shocked by some of the people recently leaving negative feedback. As someone who has worked front end office jobs in medical practices, I can bet there is a disconnect and a lot of behind the scenes going on with the merge over to Somersworth which is causing that lack of “friendliness”. I am entirely sad that this location is closing and we are losing Dr. Hoerman and his wife. Both were excellent in providing care to my three kids. I have had to call, unfortunately, many times since our youngest was born in December. A few unexpected trips and mishaps with our local pharmacy — but Dr. H was almost always available to hop on the phone and speak with me directly when having issues, sometimes several times a day with some of the pharmacy problems and getting the right

Our family has been coming here for 20 years. When moving here in 1997, we considered several offices, and I am so glad that we made the decision to come here. Our daughters have always been treated with respect and sensitivity, from infancy through the teen years. When there is an illness, we have always been able to get in that same day, and often receive a followup call as well. When our daughters were young, we loved how each room was decorated colorfully with a theme and the bird feeders outside provided entertainment while we were waiting. The staff are cheerful and positive, and we were always treated with respect as well.

My daughter was diagnosed with an aggressive tumor and needs immediate surgery. She needs a preop prior to surgery. The receptionist stated she had nothing available until the end of Aug (2 months out) and refused to fit us in sooner because they’re “short staffed”. When I pushed, she said the doctor suggested we go to urgent care if we don’t want to wait. Not acceptable.

Just got a letter they are moving to a building in somersworth. What a bummer. I live up in New Durham and certainly cannot make the trip down to somersworth. I loved this place and have been taking my son since he was born. It is a small, personable practice where you are in and out fairly quickly. Unfortunately I will need to look into a place closer by before the fall.

We bring both of our children ( under age 10) to Lilac City peds. The pediatricians are great - we particularly love Dr. Hoerman. The nurses are outstanding with the kids, especially during the dreaded shots. The front desk is always quick to return paperwork for schools and are friendly and helpful. We strongly recommend Lilac city peds!
