Lifeguard Urgent Care

I usually have a good experience here and been coming here for the past 10+ years since I was a kid, but recently I came for a really bad sore throat 2 weeks ago. It kinda felt like it wasn’t really taken too seriously because I wasn’t running a fever and my vitals were fine. I got sent home with a drink to numb my throat and was told it was a virus. I went a few days after that because the throat pain was unbearable and I was given a dose of steroids and allergy medicine which didn’t help much. After another week of feeling like this, I went to the emergency room at oak hill and tested positive for strep and also had tonsillitis and had to get transported to Bayonet Point. I just feel like this all could’ve been avoided.

APN Desiree, Nurse Doug are caring, kind and professional. They did a fine job of examining me and explaining everything. I’m sorry I forgot the front desk technician‘s name but she was thorough, kind and caring as well. I’ve used this clinic several times in the past and will continue to do so. Thank you for your care! The front desk girls were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I was seen right away by Sam, who was so gentle and kind, followed by Nurse Practitioner Michelle, who was incredibly knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the issue, recommending a follow-up with my dentist. It honestly felt like I was treated by the dream team today! Thank you, ladies, for rolling out the red carpet and making my visit such a great experience.

Very disappointed. Corey APRN was arrogant, and unkind. He didn't bother to look in my ears or at my throat. He didn't listen. Due to vertigo, sinus pressure. Ears hurting. Was told to go to the ER for a CT of my head after 1 minute of seeing me. As a veteran it is very disheartening that they will even get paid for this kind of care. Found out I have a sinus infection, Cloudy fluid in my ear and put on antibiotics and steroids. I will let the VA know and not return there.

Dr Kristen is amazing, 2nd visit long after first visit she remembered me and my issues not even in my charts. See my primary every 90 days, never has any idea who I am after years. Thanks for listening and hearing!
