Life Care Center of Acton

My father has been in rehab at the Life Care Center of Acton for the past 40+ days. His progress is slow (baby steps) but he has shown great improvement over the past couple of weeks. His care team there works with him at least twice a day on his physical therapy, encouraging Dad to continue to work and fight hard to regain his strength that he has lost over the past 4+ months due to being sedentary for so long and his ulcerative colitis being uncontrollable (thanks to his care team both at Life Care Center of Acton and from while being hospitalized at Emerson Hospital in Concord, his colitis is under control, finally.) My mom had been to Life Care of Acton multiple times for rehabilitation. During those short-term stays, she didn’t participate in any social activities, which made it difficult to get to know the staff or form a strong impression of the facility. However, she eventually became a long-term resident and has now been living there for nearly three years. While the interior of the facility isn’t especially striking or modern, I would encourage you not to let appearances influence your decision. My 91 year-old father was just brought there last night for rehabilitation. I was very happy to see that. The first person that came into the room was the senior Nurse Supervisor Director. She was absolutely pleasant. I knew that she read my father‘s history and she seem to know very much about him that was very reassuring, so it hasn’t been 24 hours yet but so far so good
