LI Neurology Consultants: Mark A. Nelson, D.O., D.P.N.

The doctors and staff in the back (MRI) are very polite and professional, especially Dr. Nelson. He is highly sought after so his appointments are usually a few months out. If you have a chronic condition this would work, but I'm not sure if you would be able to get in if you had an acute issue/emergency. I never enjoy dealing with the receptionsists, either in person or on the phone. If you call for an appointment they immediately put you on hold for a good 10-15 minutes and sometimes after that they transfer you to another line to leave a message. I never understand that because whenever I go for an appointment the phone never really rings and there are at least 3 people working up front. Dr. Nelson is a very good Dr. deserves 5 stars. Some of the staff in the office has to go they are not customer service savvy. Whenever I call and leave a message for a call back I never receive one i always have to pop into the office for answers.

Receptionists need a class on how to treat patients, it seems they are wound-tight and can't be bothered to ask very simple questions, always on the defense. My insurance doesn't require me to pay a copay, but they still insist on a copay every time I visit.

Doctor Nelson has been my Doctor for around 19 years, and I recommend everyone to Him. An excellent Doctor, compassionate understanding and he has hoped so many people including myself I don't know where I'd be without him thank you Doctor Nelson good luck on your new loccasion inland Brook America road

Dr Nelson has been my dr for over 20 years and as long as I need a neurologist I will continue going to him. He has great bedside manners and is excellent at diagnosis. Dr Nelson stays up to date with new medications and treatments. He has treated me for migraines among other things and my migraines are under control and I have him to thank for that. My headaches were difficult to treat but he never gave up. If you need a neurologist Dr Nelson is an excellent choice - I highly recommend him - you will be in great hands! He is handsome with a kind demeanor.
