Levindale Hebrew and Geriatric Center

The management at Levindale has replaced the Hippocratic Oath with, “Bleed em’ dry n’ let em’ die.” I adore my physician. They had some great therapists. I had a few good nurses and techs. The management was evil and covered for some nasty techs. Now they want to shaft me out of money. I have a gluten-free, lactose free diet. It was a very hard to get them to be diet compliant with the meals. I had to police every tray. These people just didn’t care. Therapy left specific instructions on how I was to toilet. One text said, “That’s too much work. If therapy wants that they do themselves.“ The tech was completely insensitive to my injuries and how they impacted toileting. I am lactose intolerant. They ran out of Lactaid. Because they are kosher and it was a Saturday. I could not eat for

Our experience with Levindale was been exceptional. It was a difficult transition for our 93‑year‑old mother, who went from living independently at home to suddenly needing nearly full-time care. The staff at Levindale were consistently helpful, friendly, and patient throughout the entire process, which made a world of difference for all of us. Our mother even commented that the food was “pretty good”—and she is very picky! The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and easy to access, with convenient parking. We had a previous experience with another facility, and there is simply no comparison. Levindale was far superior in every aspect—care, professionalism, environment, and overall experience. We are truly grateful for the level of support our mother received there.

I would give zero stars if I could. First the good. Orthopedist Dr. Conway is awesome. I can’t go to Dr. Conway every time staff aren't order compliant. Management should fix. They don’t. Physical therapist Kristin and Nurse Practicioner Laura were great. Some techs and nurses were good. Bad ones outweigh the good. Management should not allow what they do. Director of Nurses Sherrill was verbally abusive. Administrator Sharon Hendricks did nothing. I was on IV antibiotic Zosyn, I got 3 separate 4 hour infusions daily. That is a pain. I get it. Sherrill said, “If you needed that you should’ve stayed at Sina [Hospital]“. A Ligebridge sister property. Staff do not like to advocate for patients against insurance. Sherrill got a prescriber to allow her team to give me shorter infusions

I cannot say enough about my Mother being at Levindale. The staff including the physician were amazing and cared for her like she was their own. Everyone was responsive. Place is beautiful when you walk in.

My mom stayed her in Late 2022 she was admitted to inpatient then transferred to subacute. When my mom arrived she was walking assisted. When she left she was bed ridden, left with a serious UTI (had to be hospitalized) and subdued due to medications she was prescribed. I regret sending my mom there. I hope they have increased the number of their staff, expand on PT options in subacute and contact the family more often.
