Legend Oaks Healthcare and Rehabilitation - Garland

This is the worst place ever. My grandma has been here for a few months. They will leave her soiled for hours and not cate if she is crying and begging for them to change her. I have had to drive out there myself to change her and bath her myself. If you love your loved ones Do NOT put them here. The staff do not care about their residents. The CNAs and Nurses (not all nurses) are horrible. I am disappointed and disgusted with this facility.

I spend a lot of time interacting with the staff and residents of at Legend Oaks Garland. The staff across all departments are some of the best, most caring people I've met, and the residents are happy and well cared for.

Do not recommend! Besides a few caring staff members and directors, the majority are uncaring and rude. Food gets cold with patients who do not eat ON SCHEDULE, so microwave only available during time slots to heat up food due to a patient burning themselves. Complaints of changing patients regularly and cleaning. Agitation with patients who are not mentally stable going through dementia.I've unfortunately experienced plenty of rehabs and this is def not recommended.

Legend Oaks has been caring for my mother for the past four months, and they’ve done a great job providing the care she needs. No nursing facility is ever perfect, and it’s important to understand that CNAs have multiple residents to care for, so one-on-one care isn’t realistic anywhere. That said, out of the facilities my mom has been to in the past year, her experience at Legend Oaks has been the most successful and beneficial for her recovery. The food is good, the nurses are helpful, and the rehab services are excellent. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and pleasant for visiting. I’m with my mom daily, and I always feel comfortable being there. While there’s room for improvement in bedside manner, I never have to worry about whether the job is getting done. Can’t recommend Legend oaks enough, my dad had a short stay here and this place goes above and beyond any other health are facility i’ve known or visited. Shirley, Nurse B., and even the receptionists were extremely kind and always were there when i needed them. The place is extremely clean, the rooms are updated and nice. I wish i had known about this place for my mother before her passing. If you have to choose a healthcare facility for a loved one, look here first. Thank you legend oaks, -Shane and Steven.
