It took nine days for the inept radiology department to read my fathers chest Xray that was taken at another Conemaugh facility. In talking with the receptionist in the imaging department, and trying to see if the could expedite the process, she made this seem perfectly normal. I am not suggesting that everyone here does not care, and that they are not doing the best they can within the western medical profit industry model; but some of the things that I've seen in the ER make me very sad, and want to cringe. How some employees can be so numb to the basic needs and care of their fellow humans is beyond me, and how patients are rushed in and out like they are some type of nuisance is also troubling. Hands down the most primitive and broken online payment system you will ever use. It's amazing people actually pay their bills. For as much as DLP is about profit, you'd think they'd utilize a decent online payment system. Just another thing in their organization that is needlessly complicated and broken.
