Las Cruces Urgent Care

Extremely disappointed. I arrived at 6:20 PM, well before closing, requesting a simple non-lab pre-op physical for my 4-year-old son who is scheduled for dental surgery with anesthesia. The provider refused to see him and stated that “by law” urgent care cannot do physicals and that it must be done by his primary doctor. This information is false. Urgent care clinics regularly perform physicals, including non- surgical pre-op clearance, school, and sports physicals. If this was a clinic policy or due to closing time, that should have been stated honestly instead of giving incorrect legal information to a parent trying to get medical clearance for a child’s surgery. This caused unnecessary stress and could have delayed my child’s procedure. I would not recommend this location due to lack

I have had nothing but trouble here. Lets start with the answering service being a joke! I couldnt remember the doctors name so they wouldnt even send ove a message. They are very rude. Would love to take over the phones i bet i could do so much better haha. Then i called once for an xray they said tes we walk in and they say machine is broken, ok. It bappens. I call on a sunday open till 4 i show up at 3 with NO CARS in the parking lot but at 3 they say they are full and wont take me haha no one was there. I go again for my daughter and they have 12 people in waiting room and telling everyone they have nonidea wilhen doc will be there. Very bad experience my child haves autism and his a very quiet kid felt so discriminated by some lady M. Barnes so rude and unprofessional.To start she literally closed the door on the nurses face and to continue she came in the room with a very loud voice which I thought I guess that’s just her voice but then she started screaming at my kid and telling him to stop being rude at first I thought she was joking this has never happened to us before specially with our sons problem but then she said she was being serious. I just can’t explain how uncomfortable and unwelcomed she made us feel. I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to the Urgent Care on El Paseo in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The receptionist was kind and greeted me with a smile. Once I was escorted to the assigned room, I discussed my reason for being there and was escorted to a patient room. Dr. M Barnes entered the room and I was abruptly told to put my things down, and given a sheet so she could look at the wounded area. When she returned, I was looked at with disgust, as she rudely covered her face with a mask. Mind you I was not there for anything airborne, my situation involved a small wounded area on my body.
