Landmark Hospital of Columbia

My Grammy has been here for several weeks and is currently passing away. The care she received from staff here has been wonderful. The staff has shown such support, care and concern not only for my Grammy but for all of us family. They have gone above and beyond for us in this difficult time. I have been visiting my Grammy frequently and have seen the sweet relationships several of the staff that have been involved in her care have with her. They make her feel cared for and respected. Nurses Mallory, and Amanda have been wonderful. My grandpa had also said nurse John (who she had more in the beginning of her stay) was really great as well. The CNA Tay was exceptional and so attentive to detail and needs of her patient. And my aunt said there was lady janitor who my Grammy was very fond of

My mother was admitted to Landmark Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, a long-term acute care facility, with the hope of weaning off a ventilator after receiving a tracheostomy due to severe Guillain-Barré syndrome. Although she was ultimately unable to come off the ventilator and passed away, I want to express deep gratitude for the care she and our family received throughout her stay. The nurses, techs, physical and occupational therapists, and respiratory therapists were consistently exceptional. Every person who entered her room treated her with dignity and respect. They always addressed my mother directly before touching her or administering medications, even though she could not respond and we were unsure how much she understood. My mother was at landmark of Columbia for a few weeks. It was a horrible experience unfortunately. During such a scary time in someone’s life, you’d hope there would be more compassion and higher standards but that is not what we found. CNAs were rude, mean, and careless with the exception of 1 or 2. Nurses were negligent. Blood pressure readings were taken incorrectly, I had to stop a nurse from administering Metoprolol when her BP was ~87/40 because they had charted the wrong BP. They had taken the BP from her leg earlier in the day and the doctor told them that was incorrect as her legs were swollen and to use the bicep reading, which is standard practice. Except they used the falsely high leg reading in the chart. She would spend countless hours in the same spot, went days without gett

My family’s experience with Landmark Hospital was deeply disappointing and heartbreaking. My grandmother went in needing care and rehabilitation, but instead we saw neglect, lazy staff, and a lack of compassion. Communication with our family was inconsistent at best! This is not a place of healing—it’s a place where patients are left to die. Rather than seeing progress in her condition, we witnessed a steady decline, and it became clear that the hospital was not prioritizing her recovery or quality of life. I strongly caution families to think very carefully before sending their loved ones here, they deserve better than Landmark.

Clean, professionally staffed, friendly, more focused care for rehabilitation. My wife has been in the Columbia facility now for a week and I really don't have anything bad to say. I was concerned when the hospital was going to transfer her here because I didn't know anything about the facility. From day 1 I could see that she was making better progress than at the hospital. The staff to patient ratio is way better here. I'm not a big poster of reviews for things but since I couldn't find much information about them from a google search I hope this will help to put others mind at ease. It's a well run run facility that gives there patients really good care.
