An Appointment was set a few days ago for a 10am eye exam. The night before around 9pm I received a phone call confirming my morning appointment and to be prompt. The morning of I show up at 9:45am since they open up at 9 and figured I could walk in early and do any routing paperwork. However, doors were locked - i called, no answer. I waited till 10am, called again - no answer- as I gave up and decided to drive away- both the doctor and assistant show up around 10:10am. I couldn’t believe it- a WHOLE HOUR!! Late. I go online to see the reviews and it’s no surprise that time and attendance is an issue at this location. I wanted to drive away however with my tight schedule I decided to just get my exams and go somewhere else for my glasses and contact purchases. I’m not going to deal with s

I went to Lakewood Eye Care because of new eye insurance. I was diagnosed with glaucoma and written a prescription for eye drops to put in both eyes twice a day. For how long? For the rest of my life. I had my doubts. First of all the woman working the equipment doing all the eye tests did not inspire confidence in her ability to use the machines properly. I had drops to dilate my eyes before doing the vision field test so it was becoming increasingly difficult to see during the test. The doctor doesn't speak English as her first language so she has a very strong accent and doesn't communicate or explain things well at all. Because of my doubts, I went back to the eye doctor I had been going to for the past 5 years for a second opinion. After running tests, she said I don't have glaucoma a

I don't even think they are worth ONE star!!!! I got an eye exam and picked glasses before Christmas. When they came in, no one asked me to try them or check them to see if they were okay. I left and thought oh well I will check myself. My vision was blurry and I thought my eyes just needed to adjust. After a few weeks of headaches and no improvement, I called and asked for them to correct my prescription. The guy at the front desk said I needed to talk to the optometrist and she was out of the country to call back the following week. Guess what??? Their number is disconnected with no forwarded number and the doors are closed with nothing stated they moved! This doctor is a crook! YOU SEE THEIR NAME...RUN! Do not ever trust this doctor! I am out $228 for my glasses and $177 for my kids gla

Took my elderly mother because they were on her plan. Terrible communication of dr and staff. Unorganized to boot. Dr told me how much money was allowed on my mothers insurance. I told her we need to stay within the coverage because limited funds. She told me the exam was $50 and showed me a complete package price of eyeglasses. Not many to chose from but I picked a pair. When I took them to desk the dr said they would be $50 more than the posted price because they were rimless. I said really? They are marked a complete package price. She said they cost more because cost more to make. Um...I told her she needs to change the price then. So I picked another pair. When ready to checkout and leave she told me we could either pay price in full and wait until insurance pays and get a credit

Got referral from dr Nan Wang from Memorial Herman. What a colossal mistake ! Staff is rude and completely unhelpful. Had to fight with them just to adjust the fit on my glasses. Then my sunglasses didn't work - too dark because of cataracts. Too bad! Somehow it's MY fault they ordered them too dark. Run, run fast and run far. You're better off going blind than using this ride unhelpful quack. Stay away!
