Lake Region Walk-in Care

I live out of state and need to see someone in regard to a UTI, and this was the closest place to go. My visit was quite seamless. The staff is professional and friendly, and the office is clean and easily accessible. I was seen by Debra, and her bedside manor is very professional, empathetic, and sympathetic. She was very kind and explained everything to me and made sure it was easy for me to understand. If I ever have any issues while up here visiting family, I'd definitely go there again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experiences with this urgent care have been extremely concerning. The first incident happened while we were in the waiting area. Staff members were loudly discussing a child on the autism spectrum in front of other patients, openly sharing private details about the child’s condition and situation. They were laughing and asking each other what they were “supposed to do with that.” Meanwhile, the child and her mother were actually waiting in the car because of the child’s sensory issues. Hearing staff casually disclose and mock private information like that in a public waiting room was honestly despicable and completely inappropriate. Our second experience was just as bad. Not a single health care pro on property. Run. Seriously, unless you want to ruin your day and outlook on locally educated healthcare and labor. WebMD info along with a pharmacy heist is a better option than this. They sincerely do NOT care . At all . The one and only thing they are supposed to do is “care”. They should rename it “ Lake Region We-don’t Care’.

Wednesday (11/26) was my second time using this urgent care facility. Check-in was smooth. The good experience ended there. Sara Aronica, the treating PA was sarcastic and demeaning. I returned today for follow up care. Sara was worse today than Wednesday. I do not recommend. In my opinion, Sara deviated from the standard of care Wednesday when the only medical advice she offered was comparable to what a Google search would offer. Additionally, following the medical advice offered by Sara caused my condition to worsen. Sara's follow on instructions were either for someone else or Sara and her nurse completely ignored what I said. I returned today (11/29) for a follow up. We arrived at urgent care at 6:00 p.m. and walked into the lobby at 6:01, to seek treatment for shingles, but were told the clinic was already closed, despite their advertisement stating they close at 7:00. The receptionist repeated three times that they were closed stating they take their last patient at 6:00 and did so in a rude manner, which made the experience even more frustrating. Patients rely on urgent care for timely medical needs, and clearer communication about intake cut-off times—along with more courteous interactions—would greatly improve patient trust and experience.
