Laconia Nursing Home

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I wanted to share our experience with Laconia Nursing Home. Moving a loved one into a nursing home is never easy, and we were nervous. The staff here really put us at ease. Veema, the Director of Nursing, truly cares and is very involved. Rose, the RN Supervisor, has been patient and clear anytime we had questions. Ms. Nickolas has also been incredibly kind and helpful. Most importantly, my loved one is treated with respect and compassion. That’s what matters most to our family.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Laconia Nursing Home has been a true blessing for our family. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and always goes the extra mile to ensure residents feel comfortable and cared for. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere that truly feels like home. My loved one has been receiving excellent care, and we’ve noticed a significant improvement in their overall well-being and happiness. The activities offered are engaging, and the staff encourages participation, which has helped foster a sense of community and joy. They almost killed my father on Father's day!!! I found him cyanotic(blue and lacking oxygen) although he was supposed to be monitored for oxygen days before. Thank God I raised hell we got him to the hospital in time and they saved my father's life but it was a very close call. When he arrived at the hospital he was at 60% oxygen and covered in feces. The staff here is awful, abusive and they let my father deteriorate in a matter of weeks if I had not been visiting him regularly he would have died. I lost him in the system when he had his stroke and had no choice about his placement. Now that I do he was moved as fast as possible and his clothes are still missing. This 4 rating is a lie when the State has given them a 1. So now let’s get into the truth, most families don’t come visit there love ones here on a daily basis or they would know the CNA’s are abusive especially in the 5th floor. I have seen so I don’t need to ask how they treat the residence there. I have watched two of my mother’s roommates come in alert and by the 3rd month they have deteriorated to the point where one died. I am currently in the process of getting my mother out of there this year. If my son didn’t die I would be taking care of here at home, she wouldn’t need to be there. When I catch the CNA who choked her, I am going to lose everything. The CNAs are abusive and neglectful. It is a wonderful nursing home with wonderful staff that are kind, caring, and attentive. I noticed that they really take the time to make residents feel at home. Many look forward to the weekly events and enjoy the food.
