Kroger Pharmacy

I've left a good review previously but I felt the need to update the review after a new experience yesterday. The short version is that Dorothea, the lead pharmacist, caught a potential very serious interaction between a couple of my meds and a new med. Her knowledge and attention to detail may have saved my life. I am very grateful for her catching this issue and helping me resolve the issue quickly. Her and Jessica are a valuable part of my health care team. In addition the two regular techs, Kush and Jess, are well trained and capable of handling most any situation quickly and correctly. The pharmacy is obviously understaffed. Despite this situation and the obvious stress it causes the staff is generally very effective

The service was alright until today. I'm in the process of stopping antidepressants and the pharmacy decided to take out of my account the rest of the meds just because I didn't pick them up within two weeks. Where is the common sense when the whole process will take 6 weeks? There can be serious consequences when stopping meds cold turkey. It is a disappointment to realize everything is about stupid laws and consumerism. The well being of your costumers should come first! There is a protocol in place to stop antidepressants and it must be taken seriously.

Require you to contact them before filling prescriptions and then take multiple days to fill unless confronted directly. They need to get rid of their automation. It provides terrible customer service. This used to be a reliable place to get prescriptions. Now it is very disappointing.

I have used Walmart pharmacy my entire life, but the one closest to me closed down recently. I had no choice but to change to this kroger pharmacy. I have severe ADHD and OCD. My doctor forgot to update my medication instructions on my bottle so the day after my appointment he called me, and then resent the prescription. The pharmaciest told me to double up on what I had now, and when it ran out to refill it. Now I am almost out, and they are telling me a different story. I now have to pay 165$ for my doctor to call them directly before they give me my absolute needed medication even though he already wrote and sent in the prescription. I am so overwhelmed I want to cry. I don't understand how one person on the phone can tell me something and another at that pharmacy can now tell me someth

Absolutely loathe the fact that the Kroger pharmacy closes right in the middle of the day. Made me late for a medical appointment I needed medication for! The guy standing at the registers wouldn't sell me my ready prescription one second before he was damned good and ready to open again. I even asked him to make an exception and help me out but he didn’t care. I will be changing where I get my prescriptions from now on.
