This review is for the front desk. I tried to make an appointment as a new patient. She asked about my insurance and I told her that I have BC/BS federal employee program. She must not be familiar and asked me if it was Medicaid or Medicare. I told her my husband is a government employee and she said for me to confirm that It was not a Medicare card. 😭😂 I verbally confirmed that it was not a Medicare or medicaid insurance card. After asking for all my personal information, she asked for my ppo (not sure what that was bc it didn’t say on the card) but I told her I have my member id. She said it was not the correct number. Dr. Chou and her friendly staff focus on patient education, which I greatly appreciate. They are proactive with regular full-body checks, photographing and tracking areas of concern, and identifying and removing anything potentially dangerous. I make sure to stay on schedule with 6-month visits and use the skills they have given me to keep a close eye on my skin year-round. I highly recommend this practice.

Absolutely amazing. Dr. Chou always takes her time and educates me on all things skin. She and her staff are thorough and professional! Highly recommend!

You may want to avoid this place if keeping lab costs low and ensuring services are in-network are important to you. When I had a mole removed and sent to a lab, the office told me they only worked with two lab providers (Dianon and Dermpath) but couldn’t confirm whether either was in-network. They also wouldn’t allow me to choose a lab that I knew was covered by my insurance. Instead, they gave me an 800 number to call (no direct contact), which wasn’t helpful since the labs needed to know exactly where the sample would be processed. It was as is they didn’t care if it would be in network or how much it would cost, even though they were limiting me to only those two. I have been to her before with satisfaction once you get her in the room with you but calling her office requires that you be on hold up to 10 minutes just to speak to someone and once you have an appointment you wait in the room really long periods of time for her to see you! Just really not good service!
