Kindred Hospital Philadelphia

I can’t say enough good things about Kindred hospital. My wife was there for 6 weeks and was being treated while in a coma. The staff was amazing. Every single one of the caretakers I interacted with was very caring, friendly and attentive to all my wife’s extensive needs while in a coma such as frequent trach suctioning and maintenance. She experienced no skin breakdown or loss of weight while there and the physical therapists kept all her joints flexible. We looked at multiple facilities before finding Kindred and most of them we visited were extremely dirty, smelled horrible with a staff that appeared to be unmotivated and not very friendly. I become aware of Kindred under very serious circumstances of a loved one recovering from a life changing stroke. He was sent there after hospitalization because he was on a ventilator and needed specialized and critical care. I have to say the entire team of nurses and aides, housekeeping, security, doctors, respiratory team and all staff were amazing. My anxiety quickly disappeared because they were so kind, patient, and caring with my loved one. I was there for almost 30 days straight for 4-6 hours, and never felt like I was bothering anyone or that my loved one was not being cared for with compassion. My husband was a patient here and im very happy with the care he recieved . Everybody was nice and helpful. They respond quickly and work together like a family! I appreciate everything that they did for us

The doctors, nurses, and staff were great when my mom stayed at Kindred in Philadelphia. They attended to her needs and made her feel welcomed. If I had a question, they were quick with a response or made sure they could get me one. My mom always gave a thumbs up every time a nurse or doctor left her room, telling me that she was happy with them.

My father has been at Kindred for over 3 months, I can not thank the staff enough for all they have been and continue doing for my dad. Staff is very respectful, empathetic, and professional. If it wasn't for one of the nurses that noticed a slight change on my father's behavior, he would have been gone. Thanks, Wendy! Shout out to Sam, Stacey, Mason, Joy, Wendy, Liza, Krissy, etc. You guys have been great! Also, Resp staff are very attentive and quick to respond to any changes.
