Doctor Heather and her entire staff are awesome. I was able to bring in my fur baby on a last minute cancellation where I was greeted by Mia with a sweet smile. Christina and Dr. Heather worked on my scared little chihuahua (Smudge). She had a 104 fever and was very dehydrated . Her glucose and kidney levels were slightly high . Smudge was in a lot of pain and peeing multiple times and drinking a bunch of water through out the day. The Dr. did.a blood and urine test and were able to treat the symptoms right away. I was extremely happy how well they treated Smudge with love and care. Jenna checked me out at the front desk. She was so friendly. In fact the entire staff are so sweet, professional and kind to everyone ( humans and animals). I would definitely recommend this place as your full

I only put one star because I can’t give them a zero!! Back in January I brought my dog in who could barely breathe and the turned me away without even looking at her. Today my cousin brought her dog in who suddenly couldn’t walk and they told her to come back next Thursday!! It’s freaking Monday!!! Heartless. What good is a vet if they can’t help!!?? Vickie in kernville is the best and actually cares about the animals not the money!!

I have a home in Los Angeles and a home in Weldon. My dog's vet is in Los Angeles. This past week I was in Weldon. On Wednesday morning I had to make the difficult decision to have my dog put to sleep. I called Kern Veterinary Hospital and asked if they had an appointment slot available to put my dog to sleep. The woman said they did have an available appointment slot, but when she found out I wasn't an existing customer, she told me they weren't taking any new customers. The procedure would have used up the appointment slot they had available, but obviously wasn't going to add anything to their workload going forward. They refused to help end a dog's suffering because they had not previously gotten any money out of the dog's owner. They have no provisions for assisting with an emergency i

Unfortunately this place will be under investigation soon for discrimination. Do not bother with the donation box as they do not give back to the community, it goes towards their own expenses. They do not actually care to treat and provide appropriate care to your animal. This place will be gone soon

It's difficult looking for a new veterinarian after being with one for over 15 years but things do change. I was fortunate to find Kern Veterinary Hospital for my pets, the staff & Veterinarian are terrific they get you in on time spend quality time with them. Thank you.
